About this piece

This album art marks a profound collaboration between myself and the extraordinary music artist VICTORY. More than just a muse, VICTORY is a multi-dimensional artist in her own right, a consummate storyteller who takes people on journeys with her music. She embodies the power of beauty and sound, weaving narratives that resonate deeply with her audience.

This collaboration with VICTORY allowed me to explore the capabilities of Midjourney, using it to craft elements that adorn her clothing. Witnessing the capabilities of AI in this process was a moment of awe for me. It made me ponder: What does the creative force experience as it shapes form from the formless void? What did it experience when the first thought was thought?

There is a vast and unknowable intelligence experiencing itself THROUGH us. Our thoughts and emotions, our suffering and our joy, everything we create and everything we destroy, feed the algorithm of human consciousness. And the grand creator, whatever that entity is, wants to play. To hear the music in its heart. To see the beauty and perfection of itself in every piece of art we create and in every snowflake that enters and leaves the world in the blink of an eye. It sees all, even when we don’t.

We are beautiful, magical machines, and through interacting with AI, I've caught a glimpse of what the source must feel as it interacts with the entirety of life on this planet.
