Introducing my new AR children’s book
When Rosie, a mischievous young fairy, gets stranded outside her world in a freezing snowstorm, she must enlist the help of Raven, a lonely little girl, to help her get home. But the only path backato Fairyworld is through a fully bloomed rose, and the duo must rely on our young reader to develop a set of superpowers that will coax one last late-blooming rose bud to open and allow for Rosie’s safe return to her world.
Rosie & Raven is a new kind of children’s book that helps to infuse basic mindfulness practices with wonder and magic by utilizing Augmented Reality (AR) to activate the magic hidden within the illustrations. The app is free and takes a few seconds to download. While the book can be read and enjoyed in entirety without the use of any tech, the exercises and prompts are reinforced by mini-movies that help the 6-8 year-old child (and the parent) understand the deeper message within each exercise.
